surviving

raising two kids is hard! but, we're surviving.  i'm trying to learn to be okay with things being messier and crazier than i'm used to.  but, that's proven difficult.  one day at a time right?

luckily for me, mae has been a pretty darn good big sister (i know that will change, but i'm going to enjoy it while i can).  and sadly, she's given up her naps. that was a sad day for this mama.  but, that means she is actually sleeping in..until like 7!  that is a miracle in this household.

sweet izzy just wants to be held.  it's frustrating sometimes, but how can i not hold this little bundle?

we spent some time organizing toys and books, and created a little reading nook for mae.  she loves to go up there and look at all her books.  it's been nice, because she'll sit and look at them while i'm working out! (yes, i'm so excited to be working out!! i missed it)

i sent this picture to coleman, and he asked me if she ever smiles.  to answer that question...not often.  poor girl has inherited my constant scowl.  but when she does smile it makes it all the more sweet, right?

with mae i felt like we always needed to be doing something, or going somewhere.  and that is just not possible all the time now.  so i'm learning that even just going on a walk can be our fun activity for the afternoon.  mae loves her little seat underneath izzy, and she is an awesome walking companion.

she still loves izzy.  and always wants to hold her, or be near here.  i love it.

we've finally gotten spring weather, and we have spent a lot of time outside.  on saturday we went to a park, and these two had a great time with the geese.  i on the other hand am scared of those suckers.  so i kept a safe distance.

about a week after izzy was born i had my friend come take some pictures of the girls.  she did a fantastic job!  if you're in the area and need a photographer let me know, she's awesome.

these are a few of my favorites.  i love these sweet girls.
