life with two

gram left last sunday, and grandma baldwin wasn't coming until tuesday.  that meant two days by myself, outnumbered!! monday brought freezing rain, so we stayed inside all day.  we made a pretty awesome fort, and mae had fun playing with water in the sink.  (this might be a very infrequent activity, there was seriously water everywhere.  at least the floor under the sink got cleaned.) i survived the day and a half on my own.  i even attempted to make bread...my first attempt and it was a fail.  oh well, i chose to look at the positive, my kids and i were alive, dressed, and fed.  that seems like a win in my book.

 mae is a wonderful big sister.  she is so sweet with izzy, and has been so helpful.  she wants to hold her all the time.  she even tried to pick her up out of her swing when she was crying...it didn't end as badly as i would have expected.

we're so lucky that grandma baldwin could come and stay with us!  mae has had a blast with her grandmas, and will be incredibly bored once it's just the two of us.  grandma even got to go to gymnastics with mae.

mae has been very spoiled by both of her grandmas.  cody and i are both so blessed to have amazing moms who love our kids so much!  she has become quite the girly girl.  she loves dress up, princess shoes, purses, you name it.  

 we had izzy's two week check up, 10 lbs 2 oz, 22 1/2 inches long.  this girl is a champ.  last night she slept almost 6 hours...i'm sure i just jinxed it. 

 we had some fun visitors on friday!  uncle joey, aunt bre and lucy came up for the day.  i love spending time with them.  and i love watching mae and lucy play together. they have a blast.

mae loves to wear grandma's glasses.  and just like her sunglasses, whenever she puts them on they are upside down...what a goober.  

love these sweet little toes.  and i love my girls.  cody and i are so blessed to have to healthy happy girls!  i'm scared for when grandma baldwin leaves, life gets real then!!  but, i'll take it one day at a time.
